Types of documentary

There are 7 types of documentaries

1. Docusoap is a hybrid genre from parts of both documentary and soap opera. Usually its a documentary that is a series long  and it follows one person of a group of people and the audience are interested in  this type of documentary because its like a real soup opera and that they get to actually know the people shown.

Techniques for Docusoaps have:
1. Interviews

2. Voice of God which talks about the people whom the docusoap looks at

3. Editing that adds to the suspense

4. Storyline's that follow from one week to the other

Some problems you can get from Docusoaps are that:
They are produced cheaply which effects the quality of the tv show

Evaluation

What I did for my advert was my skittles idea how I did this advert is  the usual stop motion techniques. To create my advert i needed to take a picture  move the item take another picture and so on
And using a combination of after effects  premier Pro it was edited in no time at all.
After i showed this video to the class i got mixed feedback from the group mainly good but the negatives were not major and it was constructive feedback which was very usuful

What went well I think overall my ad was good I think the only bad thing about it is the quality but I think that can easily be sorted on the software. What's good about it is that the animation isn't too awful and the simplicity works well for it the music blends with it giving a hippie feeling which goes with the flower that grows on it the positive feed back I have from it was about how the music went well with the overall film and also I was told the messy animation effect was actually effective also another good factor i found from the feedback i have had is that it captures the realease  imagination slogan that skittles use

What wasn't so good is that the camera wasn't done on the right camera i should have used a cannon 300D at least and the size of the picture also wasn't right And I got feedback about how there is a odd shot where you see the table it was filmed on which is a fatal error. But I think this is because I got really impatient with the animation process and didn't take the time I actually needed to go through all the pictures to see which are the duds which I should have done.
Another thing that wasn't good is that the text i have used it is basic and really cheap looking

If I did this again I'd use a better camera so it's more clearer and also i would plan it better so Id shoot at an earlier time so that if i needed to do any changes i could do them.  Organisation is my weakest point so I need to improve it because i have found that it is holding me back from what i want to achieve  Also I would use the tutor to help me more instead of being on my own for the whole of it.
Another thing i would do is to not be so last minute and just make sure i have plenty of time
Another thing was that when i had feedback from the group i was told to do more with the skittles so that it looks more magical and create a rainbow to reference to the "taste the rainbow"
and i need to make the actual "release the imagination" in skittles
Finally i dont like the way i had the logo since its a picture from the internet i wanted to make the logo myself out of skittles.

Film 2 - Reaserch

Splitscreen: A Love Story from James W Griffiths on Vimeo.

This is a video of a love story shown in Splitscreen so what is done here is on one side you see it from the guys point of view and then you see it from the girls point of view which is done really well what  you see is pretty much the exact same thing on each side but in different places for example the boiling of the egg which also perfectly catptures the roundness of the shape

or when you see someone walk on one side into the other shot a second person comes out to create an effect of walking through this happens  quite a lot in the video but with cars , bikes , planes and trees. As the video goes on you see that these two people are travelling somewhere then they end up meeting each other after a long hard journey of traveling.

What I really like about this video is how it can tell 2 individual storys which is also one big story
and the way that the split screens are perfectly stuck together another thing that is good about this video is the face that
